Bought airline tickets this weekend for my Mexico trip coming up in a few months. I’ve been seeing all these airline strikes and thought it best to retain my tickets. Glad I did as they were only $598 for round-trip Economy Plus seating. Need that extra legroom for my tall self. 😉
It was my first weekend while my fast is active. It was easier than I thought it would be. So far I’ve lost 10lbs. since last Monday. I’m doing a 18/6 fast. Don’t eat for 18 hours and eat within a 6 hour window.
Spent the weekend dog-sitting my “sister” Kasie and playing World of Warcraft Classic. Roasted some pecans on Saturday and had a delicious dinner of fried chicken breast, baked sweet potato from a local farm, and some garlic roasted asparagus. It was a larger meal than what I make during the week. Man it was so good.
Saw Marcus King Band at Baltimore Soundstage last night. It was a sold out show. Leah Blevins opened for them. I almost didn’t make the show. The orange crushes were pretty strong at Phillips crabhouse. My last hurrah for a while.
My “COVID-15” has almost turned into a COVID-50. I’m so disgusted with myself but that is going to change after this weekend. I have no other events till the week after Christmas. That gives me the perfect opportunity to concentrate on my fitness routine and, more importantly, control my food and alcohol intake. I exercise most every day anyways but admittedly I’ve been off the rails drinking for the last few months. Inflated by all the events and partying last month. I haven’t been on trail since the end of June and would very much like to get in a couple more hikes before the end of the year. In some ways COVID is worse this year and the stress regarding it has been far worse for me as well.
I woke up in the morning and had breakfast as per usual and checked out around 10am. I was bound for Baltimore Inner Harbor. This was the grand finale of the week so I had a waterfront, harbor view room at the Marriott. It’s a great location for visits to the area. I ended up posted up at Phillips Crabhouse bar for the afternoon and early evening drinking and eating. A friend told me about Candlebox playing across the street and for $27.50 who could pass that up? Not this guy.
